The East Allegheny Wild Cats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 77-29 loss at the hands of Montour. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Allegheny has scored all season.
Leading Montour to victory were Kaleb Platz and Ama tening Sow. Platz scored 14 points, while Sow dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Sow is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Alston, who scored five points along with five assists.
East Allegheny bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Montour, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
East Allegheny will be playing in front of their home fans against West Mifflin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Mifflin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Allegheny in Pennsylvania (West Mifflin is ranked 262nd, while East Allegheny is ranked 527th). As for Montour, they will head out on the road to face off against Avonworth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
