Benjamin Franklin has won three straight games at home, while Bourgade Catholic has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Chargers will host the Golden Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Benjamin Franklin got the win against Tonopah Valley by a conclusive 26-16.

Benjamin Franklin got a massive performance out of Jaelyn Castaneda, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Castaneda is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Madison Sigourney was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Benjamin Franklin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .744. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bourgade Catholic). They never let San Tan Foothills get on the board and left with a 28-0 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Golden Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
The team relied heavily on Esther Quezada, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley McManness, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Bourgade Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Benjamin Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Benjamin Franklin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bourgade Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Benjamin Franklin suffered a grim 20-1 defeat to Bourgade Catholic in their previous meeting on April 3rd. Will the Chargers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
