Freer found their leader in underclassman Ayden Ramirez, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Abel Maldonado was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three blocks.
Despite the loss, Kaufer still got an impressive performance from Matthew Mascorro, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. Mascorro hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Daren Davila, who scored four points.
Freer is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season. As for Kaufer, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-17.
