Basketball Recap: Thales Academy Rolesville Takes a Loss

Thales Academy Rolesville lost against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thales Academy Rolesville Knights were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one point.

Thales Academy Rolesville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Colby Currie, who posted nine points and three steals. What's more, Currie also racked up three boards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Owen Cleek, who put up 12 points and five steals.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill was led to victory by Josh Worsham and Solano Barbeito. Worsham had 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Barbeito scored 13 points and eight boards. Joey Turek was another key player, putting up four points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Thales Academy Rolesville and nudges their season record down to 7-12. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Thales Academy Rolesville has already played their next matchup, a 60-40 victory against Neuse Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-57 defeat against St. Thomas More Academy on the 21st.
