The Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their matchup on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 38-10 victory over Shawnee Heights. The win was familiar territory for Blue Valley Southwest who now have nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blue Valley Southwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drake Dombrosky, who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Alex Parks also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allen Baughman, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Baughman has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played.
Blue Valley Southwest's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Shawnee Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Blue Valley Southwest will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mill Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Mill Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Shawnee Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
