The Morgan Trojans will be playing at home against the Ben Lomond Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Morgan pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (55), Morgan still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Ben Lomond's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 52-41 to Grantsville. Ben Lomond has not had much luck with Grantsville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jake East, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Jonathan Alcarez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Ben Lomond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
Morgan didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Ben Lomond in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 63-58 victory. Will Morgan repeat their success, or does Ben Lomond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
