Dewey has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Caney Valley Bullpups at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Dewey came up short against Pawhuska and fell 36-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dewey has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Caney Valley can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-16 win over Cherryvale at home. The win was just what Caney Valley needed coming off of a 67-47 defeat in their prior game.
Dewey's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Caney Valley, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-2.
Dewey was able to grind out a solid win over Caney Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 51-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dewey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
