The McDermitt Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-43 bruising from Lund. The result was an unpleasant reminder to McDermitt of the 73-49 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
McDermitt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremiah Horn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eli Northrup, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
McDermitt has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Lund, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDermitt will face off against Jackpot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lund, they will head out on the road to square off against Owyhee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
