The Leigh Longhorns won the last time they faced the Westmont Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Leigh enjoyed a cozy 57-43 win over Westmont.
Leigh was led to victory by Caleb Asante and Cooper Smith. Asante scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds, while Smith scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Asante has scored at least 25% of Leigh's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marko Miocinovic, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Leigh's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Westmont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Leigh and San Jose will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Westmont will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th.
