Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They fell  2-0 to the Arvin Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  on Wednesday.
Taft's offense was headlined by  Rylee Owens and  Alaysia Taylor, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from  Karsynn Owens and her 21 assists. She was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
Taft's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Arvin,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2-2.
 Looking ahead, Taft will be defending their home court for the first time this season  when they go up against West  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Arvin, they have already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  win against McFarland on the 23rd.
