The Dunseith Dragons will look to defend their home court on Monday against the New Town Eagles at 5:45 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Dunseith and four for New Town.
On Saturday, it was a hard-fought match, but Dunseith had to settle for a 57-54 defeat against Westhope/Newburg. Dunseith has struggled against Westhope/Newburg recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
New Town suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 62-26 loss at the hands of Turtle Mountain. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points New Town has scored all season.
Dunseith bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for New Town, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Dunseith barely slipped by New Town when the teams last played back in December of 2019, winning 53-52. Will Dunseith repeat their success, or does New Town have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
