Line Mountain is 2-8 against Susquenita since June of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Eagles will take on the Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Line Mountain came out on top against Juniata on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Eagles blew past the Indians 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Madylinn Grindstaff was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Addy Nelson and Natalie Witmer did most of the damage at the plate: Nelson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Witmer went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Nelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paytan Snyder, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Susquenita put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Newport as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The Blackhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by nine runs or more this season.
Like Line Mountain, Susquenita also got a great game from a two-way player: Ayahna Fleisher. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Fleisher was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Susquenita got a massive performance out of Kylah Fleisher, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Esther Feltenberger was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Susquenita was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in six consecutive games.
Susquenita's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Line Mountain, their record is now 9-6.
Line Mountain might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Susquenita when the teams last played on April 4th. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
