The Primero Bulldogs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Creede Miners at 2:30 p.m. on December 8th.
While it was all tied up 18-18 at halftime, Primero was not quite Hoehne's equal in the second half on Saturday. Primero took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hoehne.
Meanwhile, Creede had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Antonito on Saturday as Creede made off with a 48-28 win. The win was just what Creede needed coming off of a 59-31 loss in their prior match.
Will Roden was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 10 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Lyric Stecken was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 10 rebounds.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-2.
Primero took their victory against Creede in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 58-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Primero since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
