Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendship Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Z'Niyah Moore, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Moore has become a key player for Friendship Collegiate Academy: the team is 8-2 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 8-9 otherwise. McKnight was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six boards and six steals.
Meanwhile, Maret played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Bullis and fell 82-45. The Frogs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Friendship Collegiate Academy will have to contain London Liley as she made an impact in Maret's last game. She en route to 24 points and five rebounds. Liley's big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.
Even though they lost, Maret smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.
Friendship Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. Maret's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Friendship Collegiate Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Maret struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Friendship Collegiate Academy took a serious blow against Maret in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 59-26. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Austin, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 14 boards.
