The Highlands Ranch Falcons will take on the Castle View Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highlands Ranch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Highlands Ranch turned things around against Vista Ridge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Wolves as they made off with a 69-48 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Highlands Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Lane, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave Lane a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of George West III, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points in addition to five assists and four steals.
Highlands Ranch was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Castle View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Doherty on the road by a 80-61 margin. The Sabercats were down 61-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Highlands Ranch will need focus on slowing down Evan Mckean, one of several Castle View players who made an impact when they last played. He went 8 of 19 on his way to 24 points. That was a full 39.3% of Castle View's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Blake Graham was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Highlands Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Highlands Ranch has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 31.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Castle View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Highlands Ranch couldn't quite finish off Castle View in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 59-56. Thankfully for Highlands Ranch, Vitorio Dante (who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
