With a playoff game on the line, the Countryside Cougars rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 win over the Terriers. The win was familiar territory for Countryside who now have seven in a row.
Leading Countryside to victory were Carter Padags and Corey Perlin. Padags scored 19 points along with two steals, while Perlin scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Perlin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Halloran, who scored ten points.
Countryside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Hillsborough, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
Countryside will take on Wharton at TBD on Thursday. One thing working in Countryside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
