Dothan won against Montgomery Catholic last Saturday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Wolves' way against the Headland Rams as they made off with a 14-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Savanna Kendrick was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brantlee McCarthy, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Makenna Descalzi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Dothan lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Dothan, bringing their record up to 13-11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Headland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Dothan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-7 victory against Enterprise on the 8th. As for Headland, they will venture away from home to face off against Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.04 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
