Notre Dame-Green Pond scaled the state rankings by moving to 242 from 295 this week, the biggest jump in Colonial. The Crusaders were able to move up by besting Bangor 38-2.
Catasauqua added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Salisbury Township, 58-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Rashaan Herbert was the best wideout in the league this week as Wilson Area fell to Pen Argyl. Herbert racked up 2 receptions for 49 yards. Robby Pelonero helped Wilson Area's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 20 yards.
Keith Mosher put up the best numbers through the air as Saucon Valley bested Palmerton. He finished with 4 completions for 49 yards and 3 touchdowns. Mosher's favorite target this week was Mike Kane, who caught 2 passes for 24 yards.
Tom Dex was a passing and rushing force as Southern Lehigh defeated Northwestern Lehigh. He completed 9 passes for 89 yards and also ran for 47 yards. Dex's key target this week was Cody Heffelfinger, who caught 4 passes for 44 yards.
Logan Ruppert was the most successful running back in Colonial this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 98 yards as the Green Knights lost to the Green Knights. Nick Oyer also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.
The Spartans' Travis Edmond and Jacob Delpriore have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Edmond has thrown for 569 yards this season, while Delpriore, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 18 catches for 223 yards. Nick Savant from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 334 yards.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Southern Lehigh and Pen Argyl face off next week.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Saucon Valley takes on Catasauqua. Matt Evancho's team is currently in third, while Tom Falzone's team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Notre Dame-Green Pond takes on the Tigers. Chuck Muller's team has allowed 58 points this season, while Northwestern Lehigh has given up 46.
