Basketball Recap: Universal Academy Piles Up the Points Against Pepin Academy

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Universal Academy's strategy against Pepin Academy on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Falcons blew Pepin Academy out of the water with a 78-32 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-21.

Universal Academy found their leader in sophomore Brendan Brown, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Abdullah Soliman was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 11 points.

The win was the third in a row for Universal Academy, bringing their record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. As for Pepin Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Universal Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-42 win against Hifz Academy on the 9th. Hopefully Pepin Academy paid attention to Universal Academy's game: the next time they hit the court , they'll take on Universal Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
