The Valley Vikings can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   38-26  win over Weld Central. The  victory was just what Valley needed coming off of a  61-28 defeat in their prior  match.
 Valley can attribute much of their success to  Peyton Savolt, who  scored 24 points along with three  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Savolt has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nevaeh Jimenez, who  scored nine points along with 13  rebounds.
 Weld Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Riley Phelps, who  scored six points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Gracie Weber, who  scored seven points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Even though they lost, Weld Central  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only pulled down five  offensive rebounds.
 The  win  got Valley back to even at 6-6. As for Weld Central, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
 Valley will be playing at home against University at 11:30  a.m.  on Saturday. University is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.9  points per game. As for Weld Central, they will head out on the road to  take on  Eaton at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Eaton is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55  points per game.
