In what's become a running theme this season, the Valor Christian Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Columbine 75-24 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Valor Christian as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Cole Scherer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with six assists and three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for ten straight games. Brady Wynja was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cash Boykin and Carter McCoy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Boykin scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while McCoy scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Valor Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Columbine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-17.
Valor Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Arvada West at 7:00 p.m. Valor Christian is coming into the contest with 12 straight victories at home, meaning Arvada West will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Columbine, they will head out on the road to face off against Ralston Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Columbine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Ralston Valley is ranked 11th).
