It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Jones County Coyotes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They escaped with a win against Kadoka by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43. The squad ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Jones County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaden Kinsley, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Feddersen, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
The win (which was Jones County's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Kadoka, they, and Colome. As for Kadoka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Jones County will head out on the road to take on Colome at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Colome comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Kadoka, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Timber Lake at 5:00 p.m. Timber Lake is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
