The Elkhorn Antlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the York Dukes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Elkhorn had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Norris by a score of 64-54.
Elkhorn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Petersen, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Colin Comstock was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, York was able to grind out a solid victory over Lexington on Saturday, taking the game 64-51.
Ryan Huston went supernova for York, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Huston's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Leyton Snodgrass, who scored 17 points.
Their wins bumped Elkhorn to 3-0 and Norris to 3-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Elkhorn and York are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Elkhorn hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.7 points per game. However, it's not like York struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 62.7 per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run up the score up higher Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
