The Chancellor Chargers will square off against the Eastern View Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chancellor has eight straight wins, Eastern View has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Chancellor is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Spotsylvania: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Chancellor blew Spotsylvania out of the water with a 52-16 final score. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Chancellor relied on the efforts of Natalie Lanning, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists, and Lydia Brockelbank, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Brockelbank has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amna Abed, who posted four points and ten rebounds.
Chancellor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-43, which was the final score in Eastern View's tilt against James Monroe on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 39th).
Chancellor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Eastern View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Everything came up roses for Chancellor against Eastern View in their previous matchup on January 3rd, as the squad secured a 58-30 victory. Will Chancellor repeat their success, or does Eastern View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
