7A District 9 recap November 5, 2013
East Lake added to the longest winning streak in 7A District 9 this week by beating Northeast, 49-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Pinellas Park scaled the state rankings by moving to 76 from 103 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Patriots climbed the ranks as a result of beating Countryside 46-10.
The Cougars' Robby Hicks and Slyvester Kimbrough led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hicks has thrown for 817 yards this season, while Kimbrough has 25 catches for 402 yards. Pierre Johnson from Pinellas Park leads the league in rushing with 987 yards.
Donte Maxson of the Kenneth Crawford's team is only 32 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 82 carries Maxson has accumulated 968 yard this year.
The Vikings lost to East Lake 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
