Ridgevue is 0-6 against Skyview since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Ridgevue Warhawks will look to defend their home court against the Skyview Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Ridgevue has not done well against Columbia recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ridgevue slipped by Columbia 47-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ridgevue.
Ridgevue can attribute much of their success to Mckenna Durrant, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Durrant has scored at least 25% of Ridgevue's points. Another player making a difference was Jacotah Thomas, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Skyview beat Nampa 53-40 on November 14th. The victory was just what Skyview needed coming off of a 52-21 loss in their prior game.
The last time Ridgevue lost on the road was back on November 14th. Having now won three straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 3-3. As for Skyview, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Ridgevue came up short against Skyview in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-28. Can Ridgevue avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
