1A-2 Region I District 3 recap November 5, 2013
Springlake-Earth fell to Farwell 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Elijah Ramon was a bright spot for the Wolverines, as he threw for 69 yards and ran for 85 yards in the defeat.
The Steers led 1A-2 Region I District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on Springlake-Earth.
Springlake-Earth's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wolverines feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ramon has thrown for 636 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while J.T. Weldon has 8 catches for 214 yards. Ramon also leads the league in rushing with 600 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Morton takes on Sudan. As it stands, the Indians are in fourth, while the Hornets are in second.
Farwell made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,262 from 8,588. The improvement was largely due to a 34-0 victory over John Caffey's team last week.
