The Benjamin Franklin Chargers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by American Leadership Academy - Anthem South at home to the tune of 72-32 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Benjamin Franklin also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Leading Benjamin Franklin to victory were Talan Speir and Kyle Mott. Speir scored 13 points along with five steals, while Mott scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Nicholas Wright was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, American Leadership Academy - Anthem South still got an impressive performance from Logan Nadratowski, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Benjamin Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for American Leadership Academy - Anthem South, their loss was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin will take on American Leadership Academy - Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in American Leadership Academy - Ironwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for American Leadership Academy - Anthem South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coolidge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Coolidge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
