Reno Presto gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Monday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because McGuffey is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-2-1 otherwise.

Presto's effort led McGuffey over Charleroi and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
