When it comes to explaining why Coahulla Creek lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Ward. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Cullen Marti was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Coahulla Creek's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5. As for Northwest Whitfield, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Coahulla Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremen is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Sonoraville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Sonoraville is ranked 132nd, while Northwest Whitfield is ranked 151st).
