After a string of three wins, the Northwest Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to Clarksville 60-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Clarksville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kellen Howard, who scored 17 points. The contest was Howard's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trey Youngs, who scored 13 points.
Northwest's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4. As for Clarksville, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
