The Woodland Wolfpack suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Wednesday. Their tough 69-46 defeat to McDonough might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodland in their matchups with McDonough: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Woodland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Lewis. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Treven Davis, who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDonough to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Greene, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Greene has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nigel Thomas, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for McDonough, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

As for McDonough, they will head out on the road to face off against Pace Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pace Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
