Lamar is 0-7 against Lake View since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lamar Silver Foxes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lake View Wild Gators at 6:30 p.m. Lamar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Lake View is ranked 69th).
Last Tuesday, Lamar came up short against Latta and fell 44-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lamar in their matchups with Latta: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Lake View put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 48-23 margin over Green Sea Floyds. The victory was nothing new for Lake View as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lamar has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Lake View, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home.
Lamar was taken down by Lake View 65-19 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Lamar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
