After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitney, the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Acaciawood by a score of 45-35. For Calvary Chapel, this counts as revenge for the 66-56 defeat Acaciawood walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November.
Kirk Cuthbert was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. The match was Cuthbert's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Terrance Gammage, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Calvary Chapel's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Acaciawood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Calvary Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Monrovia at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. Monrovia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Acaciawood will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Santa Ana Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 12th. Santa Ana Valley will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
