Aubrey Rogers had won three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 5-3 to make it four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Immokalee Indians 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since May 1, 2025.
Leena Forbes (MMA) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Sofia Ardezzone was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sophia Truchan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Aubrey Rogers lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
As for Immokalee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two runs.
On Immokalee's side, Aniyah Martinez put in work no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Martinez was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Alexia Turrubiartez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Remey Rodriguez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Aubrey Rogers will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Immokalee, they will square off against LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
