Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Appleton North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Notre Dame Academy Tritons 3-0 on Tuesday. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Tritons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Appleton North never let Notre Dame Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

NATHAN RAMUS paced Appleton North's offense, picking up 17 kills. RAMUS got some help from SPENCER MUNSON and his 21 assists. MUNSON also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with LANDON KUE, racking up two apiece.

Appleton North's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Notre Dame Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Appleton North is set to face off against their familiar foe Hortonville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy will take on rival Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
