Minisink Valley waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monticello Panthers an 11-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-1 back in April.
Nicholas Parco was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
