The Springfield Cosmos lost against the Twin Valley Wildcats back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Springfield fell 48-35 to Twin Valley.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Twin Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Brown, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Dornburgh, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Twin Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Springfield will head out on the road to square off against White River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. White River Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Twin Valley, they will be playing at home against Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Woodstock is ranked 37th, while Twin Valley is ranked 32nd).
