The Albuquerque Bulldogs won the last time they faced the West Mesa Mustangs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Albuquerque strolled past West Mesa with points to spare, taking the game 61-46.
Albuquerque got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaelynn Ashley out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lailah Bouldin, who scored 18 points.
Albuquerque is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for West Mesa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albuquerque and Hope Christian will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
