Everything went their way against Blue Valley Northwest on Friday as Gardner-Edgerton made off with a 28-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Gardner-Edgerton, who have now won nine games by 22 points or more so far this season.
The win (which was Gardner-Edgerton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Blue Valley North and 4-6 Shawnee Mission Northwest (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.6% over those games). As for Blue Valley Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Gardner-Edgerton will square off against Blue Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Blue Valley Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
