The Peddie Falcons can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Kimberton Waldorf as Peddie made off with a 56-35 win. Peddie's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Kimberton Waldorf's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camron Nixon, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Nixon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ciara O'Hara, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Peddie's victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Kimberton Waldorf, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1.
Peddie will head out on the road to challenge Solebury at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Solebury will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 228th in Pennsylvania, while Peddie is ranked 25th in New Jersey). As for Kimberton Waldorf, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against The City School at 4:00 p.m.
