On Saturday, Bogota came up short against Montclair Kimberley Academy and fell 20-13. While losing is never fun, Bogota can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Montclair Kimberley Academy is ranked 70th).
Montclair Kimberley Academy can attribute much of their success to Kalvin Thomas, who rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Montclair Kimberley Academy also got help from Nate Chou who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Bogota has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7.
Bogota does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montclair Kimberley Academy will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lodi at 2:00 p.m. Lodi is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
