Heath is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Johnstown-Monroe is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Heath Bulldogs will take on the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Heath beat Sheridan 47-43.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heath to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Duston, who scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Mason, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Johnstown-Monroe was handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Northridge on Thursday. Johnstown-Monroe came out on top in a nail-biter against Northridge and snuck past 56-53. The win was just what Johnstown-Monroe needed coming off of a 61-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Heath's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Johnstown-Monroe, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8.
Heath beat Johnstown-Monroe 49-39 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Heath repeat their success, or does Johnstown-Monroe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
