Baseball Recap: Reedsville Finds Playoff Glory Versus Central Wisconsin Christian

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Reedsville walked away with it. They blew past the Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders 12-6 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Lodel, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Prochnow, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Reedsville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Reedsville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-1 victory against Green Lake/Princeton on the 5th. Central Wisconsin Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
