Maine South. He won two games and struck out 19 batters.
With a big week, the Hawks jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Maine South moved up from No. 27 in the state all the way to No. 14 thanks to a 2-1 record over the past week. Led by manager Bill Milano, the Hawks are ranked No. 391 in the nation with an overall record of 24-11.
Maine South's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 16 hits and 12 walks to lead the league in both categories.
Adam Depkon hit two home runs this week.
Virgilio tossed 19 strikeouts this week while on the hill for the Hawks, adding to his league-best total of 68.
