The Larimore Polar Bears won against the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans on Saturday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Larimore came out on top against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg by a score of 45-36. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Larimore has managed all season.
Drayton/Valley-Edinburg's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Easton Larson, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Berg, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Larimore's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Larimore will head out on the road to face off against Hillsboro/Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Hillsboro/Central Valley is ranked 91st, while Larimore is ranked 95th). Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
