It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Larchmont Charter Timberwolves ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Middle College 47-45. Winning may never get old, but Larchmont Charter sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ugonna Njoku, who scored six points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Amanze Njoku, who scored seven points.
Larchmont Charter's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Middle College, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Larchmont Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against SEED: LA at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Middle College, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against New West Charter at 7:00 p.m.
