It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but McLean County ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They skirted past the Daviess County Panthers  4-3. The  win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on four straight.
 The team  relied heavily on  Jax Lee, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April.
McLean County's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Daviess County, they dropped their record down to 17-16 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Looking ahead, McLean County will take on Hancock County at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Cougars are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Daviess County, they will challenge Logan County at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
