Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Skates Past the Covenant with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Blue Ridge over The Covenant in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Blue Ridge Barons blew The Covenant Eagles out of the water with a 92-40 final score. The Barons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Blue Ridge had a senior duo take command as Colby White went 9-for-20 to rack up 29 points and D'Myo Hunter went 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, Hunter now owns an excellent 46.8% field goal percentage. Lambert Brokamp was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Blue Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Blue Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for The Covenant, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will square off against Fishburne Military at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Covenant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
