Ben LaVier looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jack Cooper was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Gehris, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. First Flight has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like D.H. Conley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
First Flight couldn't quite get it done against D.H. Conley when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Nighthawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
